She contacted&nbsp;residents at the veterinary pharmacy program at NC State, despite being initially ignored by the program. These residents provided&nbsp;advice and resources on how to get started, including the recommendation to become involved in the <a href=\"http:\/\/svhp.org\/\">Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists<\/a>. Additionally, Chloe immersed herself in the veterinary world, volunteering at the Humane Society to increase exposure.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At the time of her interview, there were only 3 veterinary pharmacy residency programs that existed in the country!<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>3. What career goals is a veterinary pharmacy residency going to help her achieve?<\/h3>\n<p>Goals include learning the different career options available to veterinary pharmacists, and combining&nbsp;her knowledge of veterinary pharmacy to guide her passion for animals.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>4. What information would have been helpful earlier in her pharmacy career?<\/h3>\n<p>Learning the various pharmacy options available other than traditional residency and community pharmacy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever you want to do, you can make it happen. Just find a way to do it and make it happen!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>5. What 3 pieces of advice would she give someone who wanted to get started down a path to veterinary pharmacy?<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Find someone who is somehow related to what you want to do and reach out to them<\/li>\n<li>Find an organization to get involved<\/li>\n<li>Get some sort of experience in the field you want to pursue<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Chloe\u2019s story is truly proof that you can make a career out of your passion if you really put in the time and effort.&nbsp; It will be tough at first to put yourself out there and reach out, but we promise that it will pay off!&nbsp; If you have any
